I believe something important is happening to the way we live.

We have never been more connected technologically — and yet it's becoming increasingly easy to go through an entire day without really connecting face-to-face with the humans around us.

We look down. Put our headphones in. Send messages to people miles away while barely noticing the person standing beside us.

And in doing so, we risk missing something.

Each other.

Every day, life puts us alongside people we don't know — or don't know well.

The person beside us on the train. Someone waiting for coffee. A fellow dog walker. The neighbour we recognise but have never really spoken to. The stranger sitting next to us at the bar.

Most of these encounters will pass unnoticed.

But they don't have to.

Two strangers can become, just for a moment, two humans connecting.

Because I believe connection doesn't have to become a friendship to matter, and a conversation doesn't need a purpose to have value.

I want to create a global community of people who look up a little more often.

Who remain curious about the strangers and familiar faces around them.

Who are willing to try the experiment, start the conversation and make a little more of the opportunities everyday life presents.
